Welcome to the Be Inspiring Project
In 2008 Derby City Partnership asked individuals and organisations to set a challenge, or make a pledge, that would make a real difference in Derby and help raise people's aspirations. Pledges included partners mentoring young people, individuals volunteering in the community, businesses offering work placements and money raised through sponsorship.
Derby City Partnership has been delighted with the support and ideas so far and now wants to focus the project even more, to particularly benefit young people. The Be Inspiring Project aims to build on the previous challenge and create more opportunities to inspire young people. The project aims to support organisations to undertake new projects to achieve the following positive outcomes for young people in Derby aged 10 to 19 years:
- Increased skills
- Improved level of education
- Improved employment prospects
- Increased confidence, self esteem and ambition
To support this the Be Inspiring Project Fund has been launch but the deadline for applications has now closed and successful projects have been informed. The Fund will fund a variety of inspiration projects that will raise the aspirations of children and young people. To view a full list of successful projects click here.
The Partnership would like to hear about the projects that are being delivered locally. To read more about what partners are delivering click here.
