Single Programme

Derby City Partnership took over the management of Single Programme from Derby & Derbyshire Economic Partnership (DDEP) in April 2009.  Each year, Derby City Partnership receive an allocation of Single Programme revenue and capital grant from emda.  Through a commissioning process, we identify priority activity and then contract with and manage projects.

The priority activity is identified in a 3 year spend plan called the Sub Regional Investment Plan - SRIP.  European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Single Programme (SP) are very closely aligned, and the strategic commissioning approach ensures activity is identified and delivered through both programmes.

Big Lottery - Children's Play

In 2007, Derby City Council was awarded £613,710 of Big Lottery Funding for the Children’s Play initiative.  To draw down the funding, Derby City Council was required to produce a multi agency Play Strategy, subsequently owned and shared by all stakeholders.

Although the Play Strategy was needed in order to draw down the available funding it was important that the Play Strategy was a stand alone . The plan will improve and increase the opportunities, co-ordination, profile and investment in Play beyond the Big Lottery Funding.  Four projects were approved to receive a share of the Big Lottery Children's Play grant funding supporting gaps identified within the Play strategy.  Click here for details of the projects.
