| Provisional rates for 2008 were released last week and showed significant improvement in Derby over previous years. The overall drop from 1998 is now 19.3% against 13.3% for England and 18.8% for the East Midlands. That’s a rate of 51.5 conceptions per 1,000 females aged 15-17 years. The target is a 55% reduction by 2010 so there is still plenty to do, but well done to all concerned!
